Tax Readiness for the Self-Employed Online

The Bangor Public Library and SCORE Northern Maine will host an online presentation on "Tax Readiness for the Self-Employed," by Jean Dempster, Program Director at New Ventures Maine, on Wednesday, November 30 at 12:00 PM.

Learn how to organize your financial records, understand your tax responsibilities, and become familiar with tax forms. This workshop will be helpful if you want to file on your own, or be ready to work with a paid tax preparer, and is designed for sole-proprietors and single-member LLCs. This event is free of charge, but registration is required to attend by Zoom. Sign up using the form below or by calling 922-6055.

Jean Dempster is a Microenterprise Specialist and the Program Director at New Ventures Maine (NVME). NVME is a community development outreach program of University of Maine at Augusta/University of Maine System. NVME's mission is to help Mainers succeed in the changing economy and achieve economic security for themselves and their families. Jean works primarily with small business owners and sole proprietors. She enjoys working with entrepreneurs to increase personal and business financial management skills.
