Fall Arts & Crafts Supply Swap In-Person
Start going through your supplies now!
Supply Drop-Off: Starting in August, you can drop off your supplies. You can leave at our greeter desk in the first floor atrium. Please contact Shavaun Rigler at 207-922-6958 or shavaun.rigler@bangorpubliclibrary.org if you have questions or need help getting your supplies to the library. You can also bring anything in on the day of the event.
Note: We call this a swap but you are not required to bring in anything! We tend to have more supplies than we can give away. Leftover supplies are kept for the next swap or donated to community groups or schools that would like them!
Rules (aka how to make this fun for everyone):
- We will be limiting people to 2 bags of supplies that they can take home. Note that if we don’t receive many supplies, we will need to drop the limit down to 1 bag. This rule will be strictly enforced! We have had community members fill bags, take them to their cars, and then return for more.
- We ask that people do not take the complete stock of an entire category. For example, don’t take every book of scrapbooking paper.
Some ideas of what to bring:
- Yarn
- Knitting, crochet or sewing needles
- Fabric
- Paper (card stock, drawing, watercolor, craft)
- Paint (at least half full)
- Craft kits
- Pencils
- Markers
- Pastels
- Scrapbooking supplies
- Blank canvasses
- Baskets
- Fake flowers
- Holiday kits
- Empty non-food containers (These are so helpful for keeping supplies in and are very popular!)
- Odds and ends are fine!
