Technology Workshop: Using Facebook Securely

Technology Workshop: Using Facebook Securely In-Person

The National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) and the Bangor Public Library will co-sponsor a free workshop, "Using Facebook Securely," on Monday July 14 from 10:30-11:30 AM in the library's Computer Lab.

This class is designed to teach current Facebook account holders how to use Facebook more securely, how to understand all privacy options, and how to change privacy options so the information you share on Facebook is only available to those you wish to see it. Participants should already have a Facebook account, and are encouraged to bring their own device if they have one, or may use a computer provided for the class (make sure you know your Facebook password if you plan to use one of our computers!).

All workshops are free of charge to Maine residents, but space is limited, so registration is required to attend. Registration is available to attend in-person or online via Zoom. To register for all this class, fill out the form on the NDEC website or call Nina for assistance at (207) 825-2540.

The National Digital Equity Center provides communities at all levels the expertise needed to mobilize broadband technologies through digital inclusion, literacy efforts, education, resource planning, funding research, infrastructure leveraging and stakeholder engagement. NDEC provides digital skills training through 40+ classes on different subjects. Learn more at their website.
