Technology Workshop: iPhone Basics

Technology Workshop: iPhone Basics In-Person

The National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) and the Bangor Public Library will co-sponsor a free 3-session workshop, "iPhone Basics," on Tuesdays July 15, 22 & 29, from 10:30-11:30 AM, in the library's Computer Lab.

This course covers the basics of how to use Apple’s popular iPhone. This class starts with the basics of how to log on using multiple methods from passcode to Touch ID to face recognition technology. Apple’s iCloud service will be discussed, including how it will help secure your data and allow your data to be used across multiple Apple devices. The App Store will be covered to find additional applications that may meet your varied interest and needs. Participants are encouraged to bring their own iPhone, as devices are not available to be provided for this class.

All workshops are free of charge to Maine residents, but space is limited, so registration is required to attend. Registration is available to attend in-person or online via Zoom. To register for all three sessions, fill out the form on the NDEC website or call Nina for assistance at (207) 825-2540.

The National Digital Equity Center provides communities at all levels the expertise needed to mobilize broadband technologies through digital inclusion, literacy efforts, education, resource planning, funding research, infrastructure leveraging and stakeholder engagement. NDEC provides digital skills training through 40+ classes on different subjects. Learn more at their website.
