Entrepreneurship - How to Get Help

Entrepreneurship - How to Get Help Online

The Bangor Public Library and SCORE Northern Maine will host an online presentation with a panel of experts from Maine-based organizations who work to support entrepreneurs during all stages of their careers, on Wednesday, April 30th from 12-1 PM.

Are you thinking of starting your own business, or encountering challenges along the way as you run one? The great news is that there are a suite of options all designed to provide help. But how do you know who to turn to, who does what, and what you can expect from them? Representatives from six of these great institutions will be on hand to explain what they do and how they can assist.

The panel includes:

  • Preston Thomas, Business Advisor & Procurement Counselor at Four Directions Development Corporation
  • James Macomber, Business Advisor at MaineStream Finance & Penquis
  • Alison Lane, Business Advisor at Maine SBDC
  • Miranda Pelkey, Deputy Director & Maine APEX Accelerator at Eastern Maine Development Corp (EMDC)
  • Oyebanjo Ogunlela, Microenterprise Specialist at New Ventures Maine
  • Donna Cassese, SCORE Mentor at SCORE Northern Maine

This event is co-sponsored by the library and SCORE Northern Maine. It is free of charge, but registration is required to attend by Zoom. Sign up using the form below or by calling 922-6055.
