Technology Workshop: Understanding WordPress In-Person
The National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) and the Bangor Public Library will co-sponsor a free 2-session workshop, "Understanding WordPress," on Thursdays March 27 and April 3, from 5-6 PM, in the library's Computer Lab. This class will be followed by a "WordPress Basics" series on April 17, 24, & May 1st, and "WordPress Intermediate" on May 15, 22, & 29. Attendees are asked to register individually for each series they are interested in.
WordPress is a content management system popular for hosting blogs and other websites. Gain a solid understanding of the basics of WordPress in this course, which will look at the WordPress platform, the basics of website creation, and talk about domain names and web hosting, in a 2-week class taught by an instructor from NDEC. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop computer or device, or may use a computer provided by the class.
All workshops are free of charge to Maine residents, but space is limited, so registration is required to attend. To register for all three sessions, fill out the form on the NDEC website or call Nina for assistance at (207) 825-2540.
The National Digital Equity Center provides communities at all levels the expertise needed to mobilize broadband technologies through digital inclusion, literacy efforts, education, resource planning, funding research, infrastructure leveraging and stakeholder engagement.
