Technology Workshop: Chromebook Basics

Technology Workshop: Chromebook Basics In-Person

The National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) and the Bangor Public Library will co-sponsor a free workshop, "Chromebook Basics," on Tuesday April 8, from 12-1 PM, in the library's Computer Lab.

Learn how to get the most out of your Chromebook computer. In this class we will introduce you to the fundamentals of operating your Chromebook, look at how to navigate the platform, best use practices, and how to get more from your Chromebook. Participants are encouraged to bring their own Chromebook computer running Chrome OS, as only a limited number of computers are available to be provided for this class. Not sure what operating system your computer is using? Feel free to ask at the reference desk on the second floor of the library and we can identify it for you.

All workshops are free of charge to Maine residents, but space is limited, so registration is required to attend. To register, fill out the form on the NDEC website or call Nina for assistance at (207) 825-2540.

The National Digital Equity Center provides communities at all levels the expertise needed to mobilize broadband technologies through digital inclusion, literacy efforts, education, resource planning, funding research, infrastructure leveraging and stakeholder engagement. NDEC provides digital skills training through 40+ classes on different subjects. Learn more at their website.
